What kind of bike and equipment do I need for the bike ride?
Is the bicycle ride a timed race?
No, the ride is a leisurely evening tour through downtown Durham and Duke campus.
Is the 5K run timed?
Yes, the 5K run is on a USATF Certified course and is chip-timed by Precision Race. There will be overall and age group prizes for the fastest runners. The 5K is also part of the Triangle Race Series. Runners who complete at least 4 of the 20+ races in the Series will score an invitation to the year-end Series awards banquet and will qualify for Series swag and awards. Do I have to fundraise in order to participate
No, you are not required to fundraise, There are two goals for this event: have fun and raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. To help Habitat, we suggest that every rider and runner either donate or fundraise at least $25. There are fundraising incentives for those who raise more. See the Charity Info page for details.
When can I check in and get my race bib?
You have a choice of coming to advanced check in or checking in at the event.
Advanced Check-In is on Friday 4-7 pm at Omega Sports in New Hope Commons (5426 New Hope Commons Dr, Durham, NC).
Event Day Check-in is on Saturday 5-7 new DBAP on Blackwell Street.
Those who check-in on Friday do NOT need to wait in line to check in on Saturday.
Runners/riders who have not yet registered may do so either Friday or Saturday.
Those who purchased a shirt can pick it up when they check in (either day).
